Job Summary

In this vital role, you will provide emotional support, companionship, and practical assistance to patients and their families, fostering comfort and dignity during challenging times as a patient care volunteer. As an administrative volunteer you can assist with office duties, EMR assistance, amongst other office duties. Your dedication and presence will bring warmth, hope, and reassurance to those in need, creating a positive impact that extends beyond words. Responsibilities

• Participate in training sessions on hospice care practices, first aid, CPR, and neurodevelopmental support techniques.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all safety protocols during visits
• Support underserved communities by demonstrating cultural sensitivity and understanding diverse backgrounds.
• Responsibilities will vary depending on primary role (Patient centered or Administrative)

Qualifications

• Prior experience supporting individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders or intellectual disabilities is preferred
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from underserved communities
• Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills
• Ability to maintain professionalism while providing emotional support in sensitive situations
• Reliable, responsible, and able to commit to scheduled volunteer hours
• Willingness to participate in ongoing training related to hospice care practices
