Hospitality Assistant

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Castle View Retirement (CVR) are looking for an evening Hospitality Assistant and a Friday / weekend Hospitality Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring that our homeowners, their guests and visitors receive exceptional service during mealtime.

You will have a passion for customer service and a genuine desire to enhance the dining experience at Castle View.

Key Responsibilities

· Greet homeowners, their guests and visitors warmly as they arrive at the bistro and bar area.

· Assist with seating and provide menus.

· Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.

· Serve meals and beverages in a timely manner.

· Ensure that dietary preferences and restrictions are accommodated.

· Clear tables at the end of service

· Provide friendly and attentive service to homeowners, their guests and visitors throughout their meal.

· Collaborate with kitchen staff and other staff to ensure smooth operation of the bistro and bar area and assist with the washing up.

· Handle concerns or special requests with professionalism and courtesy

· Maintain cleanliness and organization in the bistro and bar area.

· Taking responsibility for the cleanliness and set up of the bistro and bar ensuring you’re working in a clean, organised and hygienic manner.

· Arranging bills and processing payments.

· Ensuring the environment offers comfort and exceptional hygiene throughout the bistro and bar and working environment.

Qualification and Experience:

• Previous experience of having worked with the elderly over 55 cohort.
• Previous experience within care, hospitality or leisure industry within a similar role would be desirable.
• Previous experience in a hospitality setting or in a customer service role preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Compassionate and patient demeanour.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• An awareness of basic Health & Safety.
• Satisfactory enhanced DBS checks required.

Location – The post will be based at the designated retirement community in Windsor.

Pay: £13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4.0 – 12.0 per week
