Kubia

Nightlife Director / General Manager
Laila, Downtown Manhattan, opening in November
Laila is a new nightlife concept built around electronic music, disco, design, hospitality and the kind of room people actually want to be in.
We’re looking for a key person to help lead it.
Not just a manager. Not just a host. Not just someone with a good contact list.
We want someone who understands the business, the people and the vibe.
You should be strong in several of the following:

Leading and managing a nightlife team

Running a busy room with confidence

Hosting, VIP relations and making people feel important

DJs, promoters and nightlife programming

Electronic music, house and disco culture

Building relationships within NYC nightlife, fashion and creative circles

Sound, lighting, POS and the technical side of a venue

Creating standards, energy and a team people want to work for

You’re polished without being stiff, social without trying too hard, and capable of handling both a VIP table and a 1:30 a.m. operational problem.
You understand that the best clubs are not built only on beautiful design or big DJs — they’re built around people, culture, consistency and taste.
We know this is a rare mix.
If you’re exceptional in some of these areas but not all of them, apply anyway. We are open to building the leadership team around complementary people if that creates a stronger result.
We’d love to hear:

What venues or nightlife concepts have you worked with?

What are you exceptional at?

Who and what are you connected to within NYC nightlife?

What makes a room develop a real following?

Why Laila?

Strong nightlife experience in needed.
