Hospitality Technical Support Engineer

We are looking for a Technical Support team member to provide technical customer support, project implementation and rollouts with QA**.**
The ideal candidate will be an outgoing person who is tech savy, comes with lots of positive energy and is able to perform under pressure. Candidate should be able to communicate professionally speaking English, Bahasa Melayu and/or Mandarin.
This role is office based in Kuching, Sarawak, reporting to a Singapore-based entity and paid via an Employer of Record in Malaysia.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Support

✅ Helping support customer remote using IM, Email, Zoom
✅ Trouble shooting customer issues
✅ Gather customer feedback for product improvement
✅ After hours support will be required by schedule

Rollouts

✅ Work with sales to implement software on customer sites
✅ Configure software to meet customer requirements
✅ Train customer in software usage and operation both in person and through zoom

Quality Assurance

✅ Test software prior to customer release
✅ Ensure customer issues found in support are resolved
✅ Document issues found

Travel & Customer support

• Ability to travel domestically in Sarawak, Sabah, Peninsular Malaysia for site visits
• International travel and tradeshows where required

Highly Considered Skills

• Knowledge of Computers and Cloud applications

• Skills with Wordpress or other CMS,

• Experience with WhatsApp, Line, Telegram

• Familiarity with Hotel front office operations

• Knowledge of door lock solutions

• SDLC - Agile or Waterfall

• AWS Lightsail and/or CPanel shared hosting

Requirements

• Experience in the hotel industry or online travel agencies

• LAMP systems administration

• Basic HTML, JS, CSS

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience

• Excellent written and spoken English communication

• Spoken business Mandarin/Cantonese and/or Bahasa Melayu

• Professionalism and responsiveness to team & customer requests
