Hospitality Training & Operational Development Manager

GROUP TRAINING & OPERATIONAL DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

About the Role

This is a newly created, high-impact leadership role. Reporting to the Group General Manager, you'll own the Learning & Development strategy, onboarding, leadership development, performance management systems, and organisational design and change initiatives across both properties — working closely with department heads to build a capable, engaged, and future-ready workforce.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver the group Learning & Development strategy, aligned to business priorities

• Own onboarding, training delivery, and LMS uptake across both properties

• Lead leadership development, manager coaching, and internal facilitation capability

• Review and strengthen performance management frameworks, including role-level KPI design

• Apply organisational design and change management frameworks to support business change

• Drive culture and engagement initiatives across the workforce

• Maintain training records and legislative compliance, and manage the L&D budget

• Report on learning outcomes, engagement, and workforce development to the Group General Manager

About You

• Proven experience in Learning & Development, Organisational Development, or HR, ideally in hospitality

• Strong facilitation and coaching skills, with experience designing and delivering training programmes

• Solid understanding of performance management systems and organisational design principles

• Experience leading change management initiatives and advising senior leaders

• Confident communicator, comfortable engaging stakeholders at all levels of the business

• Highly organised and data-driven, with strong reporting and budget management skills

• CPTD (ATD) or CPLP certification desirable but not essential

• A valid Cook Islands work permit, or eligibility to obtain one
