Host (Amelia)

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly, professional, and customer-focused Host to join our team. The Host is responsible for creating a positive first impression by welcoming guests, managing seating arrangements, and ensuring an exceptional guest experience from arrival to departure. The ideal candidate is organized, personable, and able to maintain a welcoming atmosphere in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and courteously upon arrival.
• Manage the waitlist and accurately estimate wait times when necessary.
• Escort guests to their tables and provide menus.
• Coordinate seating arrangements to ensure efficient table turnover and balanced service among servers.
• Answer phone calls and assist with reservations, inquiries, and guest requests.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand, entrance, and waiting areas.
• Communicate effectively with servers, managers, and kitchen staff regarding guest flow and seating needs.
• Assist guests with special requests and accommodations whenever possible.
• Thank guests as they depart and invite them to return.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and guest service standards.
• Assist with opening, closing, and side work duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service, hospitality, or restaurant experience preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
