HOST & MEMBERSHIP EXPERIENCE COORDINATOR

Amador Club | San Francisco, CA

Full-Time

About Amador

Amador is a private members’ club in the heart of San Francisco’s Financial District, housed in the landmark Bank of Italy building at 550 Montgomery Street. Formerly known as Wingtip, the club is named for Amadeo Pietro Giannini, the bank’s founder and a driving force in rebuilding the city after the 1906 earthquake.

  • The Bank at Amador: Our ground-floor property is open from breakfast through late evening. The Bank serves light breakfasts with coffee service, lunches, and an evening menu of light bites and raw bar alongside craft cocktails and live entertainment.
  • Amador Club: A 13,000-square-foot duplex penthouse on the 10th and 11th floors, with themed parlor rooms, a cigar lounge, a 600-bottle wine cave, and a terrace overlooking downtown.
  • Private Events: Both properties host private events, from intimate dinners in the Wine Cave to full-floor penthouse receptions, board meetings, and milestone celebrations — with buyouts accommodating up to 150 guests at The Bank and up to 350 across the Club.

This is a place where members bring the people who matter most to them. The Host & Membership Experience Coordinator is central to making those occasions worth remembering.

Position Overview

As a Host & Membership Experience Coordinator, you are the warm welcome and personalized representative that sets the tone for each member’s experience. While this role owns some important front desk, membership, and administrative support functions, it remains focused on in-person hospitality and guest engagement. You’re the person who recognizes returning members by name, guides them to their reserved spaces, and creates a seamless handoff to our service team.

You’ll report to the floor manager and/or AGM and work closely with all colleagues to ensure smooth operations, guest readiness, and an elevated experience from the moment a member walks through the door. This role also supports live music nights and lounge-based events by assisting with light setup or equipment needs.

We are an intimate, sophisticated club focused on genuine hospitality and human connection — member to member, member to team, and team to leadership. We’re looking for someone who is warm, polished, reliable, and confident in leading high-touch guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Member Experience & Hosting

  • Respond to membership inquiries and provide information to prospective members
  • Greet and check in members and guests with warmth and professionalism
  • Escort members to reserved tables, lounges, or private areas and introduce them to their server when appropriate; give tours as needed, to both The Bank and the main club upstairs
  • Manage and monitor seating flow and special requests via club software, coordinating with service teams in real time
  • Quick problem solving with any member issues
  • Recognize returning members, learn guest preferences, and communicate them to the Membership and FOH teams
  • Maintain a calm, welcoming front-of-house presence during both slow and high-volume periods, with professionalism, discretion, and poise

Opening Duties & Floor Setup

  • Help set the floor and tables for service
  • Put out the seat cushions on the deck
  • Help with general Club cleanliness (sweeping, mopping, etc.)
  • Keep the bathrooms clean and stocked

Club Support & Coordination

  • Collaborate with the floor manager and event colleagues on front-of-house readiness and daily guest priorities
  • Help maintain a polished and organized lobby and entry experience
  • Support event setup and breakdown of lighting, DJ equipment, and lounge layouts, and help as required with setup for private events
  • Assist in real-time solutions — managing transitions, addressing seating challenges, and escalating member concerns discreetly as needed

Team Integration & Administrative Support

  • Sign in new members during shift, through PeopleVine
  • Answer or redirect emails the Front Desk receives and messages received through membership portal in a timely manner during shift, escalating to the appropriate person when needed
  • Answer phone calls and return all voicemails as directed by management during shift
  • Book and manage reservations on SevenRooms
  • Make reservations for the main club
  • Respond to reciprocal club requests by following current Club policies
  • Keep the club calendar up to date
  • Provide social media post support as directed
  • Support design and creation of emails, menus, signs, as directed
  • Proactively flag service issues and help ensure the club remains guest-ready throughout the shift; occasionally provide service support as needed and directed
  • Fill in for the barista or AM server when they are late or call out, as needed
  • Catch main club front desk emails, including:
  • Sonato and reciprocal club email requests
  • Reservations for the Club
  • PeopleVine messages

Qualifications

  • Experience: 1+ years in a hospitality, fine dining, luxury retail, or membership club environment.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence — you make people feel seen and cared for.
  • Composure: Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced service environment.
  • Systems: Familiarity with reservation or CRM platforms (e.g., SevenRooms, PeopleVine) is a plus.
  • Physical: Able to assist with some physical tasks (rearranging lounge seating, cables, event gear, etc.).
  • Availability: Evening, weekend, and holiday availability required.

Personal Traits

  • Detail-oriented, dependable, and highly efficient
  • Adaptable, proactive, and resourceful with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
  • Committed to providing exceptional member experiences and contributing to a positive, inclusive club culture
