Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage reservation check-ins using restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
• Escort guests to their tables, ensuring efficient seating arrangements and accurate waitlist management.
• Assist bartenders by restocking bar supplies, cleaning glassware, and maintaining a well-organized bar area (Barback duties).
• Clear and reset tables promptly after guests leave, ensuring cleanliness and readiness for new diners.
• Support servers and bussers by delivering food and beverages efficiently, while maintaining excellent guest relations through friendly communication.
• Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, including sweeping, wiping down surfaces, and organizing service stations in accordance with food safety standards.
• Handle phone communication professionally for reservations or guest inquiries, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.

Experience

• Previous experience as a host or hostess in a fast-paced restaurant environment is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a positive attitude!
• Food service experience including familiarity with restaurant reservation management systems like Toast and Opentable is highly desirable.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently during busy hours.
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and creating welcoming atmospheres.
• Basic math skills for handling reservations, managing waitlists, and processing guest requests accurately.
• Knowledge of restaurant table management systems and POS systems such as Toast and Opentable will be advantageous.
• Understanding of food safety standards and proper sanitation procedures to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.
