Host / Cashier

Overview
This is Chef Loong Dim Sum in West Ashley, We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Host/Cashier to join our team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. As a Host/Cashier, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests while ensuring their needs are met throughout their visit. This position requires excellent communication skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Greet and seat guests promptly while providing menus and information about daily specials.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently using the POS system.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and address any guest concerns.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including resetting tables for new guests.
• Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring overall satisfaction.
• Uphold high standards of customer service by demonstrating professionalism and courtesy at all times.
• Handle phone inquiries with proper phone etiquette, assisting with reservations or providing information as needed.

Experience

• Previous experience in restaurant or food service roles is preferred but not mandatory; we welcome those eager to learn.
• Strong communication skills are essential for effective interaction with guests and team members.
• A background in hospitality or guest services will be an advantage in this role.
• Familiarity with POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus but not required; training will be provided.
• A positive attitude, teamwork mentality, and willingness to help others are key traits we value in our team members.
