Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and personable Host to be the welcoming face of our establishment. As a Host, you will create a positive first impression for our guests by providing exceptional guest services and ensuring smooth seating and reservation management. Your enthusiasm and communication skills will set the tone for an enjoyable dining experience, making guests feel valued and comfortable from the moment they arrive. This role is vital in maintaining a lively, organized, and hospitable environment that encourages repeat visits and outstanding guest relations.

Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing friendly and professional service to set a positive tone.
• Manage reservations, waitlists, and seating arrangements efficiently using POS systems such as Toast.
• Answer phone inquiries with clear communication, providing accurate information about wait times and restaurant offerings.
• Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and smooth flow of service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization at the host stand, including menus, reservation books, and waiting area.
• Handle guest concerns or special requests with professionalism, ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Assist in managing guest relations by creating a welcoming atmosphere that promotes hospitality and guest loyalty.

Skills

• Previous experience as a Host or in a similar guest-facing role within food service or restaurant environments.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
• Knowledge of (or willingness to learn) POS systems such as Toast or Tock for reservation and order management.
• Excellent phone etiquette and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Understanding of food safety standards and hospitality best practices.
• Ability to manage busy periods with energy, positivity, and professionalism.
• Experience with hotel or hospitality environments is a plus, along with serving skills that enhance guest interactions.
