Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and personable Host to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests and ensure smooth restaurant operations. As the first point of contact, you will manage guest arrivals, coordinate seating arrangements, and uphold exceptional customer service standards. Your enthusiasm and organizational skills will set the tone for a memorable dining experience, making guests feel valued from the moment they walk through the door. Duties

• Greet guests warmly with genuine enthusiasm and professionalism to foster a positive first impression
• Manage restaurant reservation systems and walk-in guest flow efficiently using restaurant table management software such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table utilization while minimizing wait times
• Answer phone calls promptly with proper phone etiquette, providing reservation information and answering guest inquiries
• Maintain organized waitlists, monitor guest wait times, and communicate updates clearly to guests and staff
• Assist with guest relations by addressing questions, concerns, or special requests courteously and proactively
• Support food safety standards by ensuring cleanliness of host station and adherence to hygiene protocols

Experience

• Previous experience as a host or hostess in a busy restaurant environment preferred
• Strong background in customer service with excellent communication skills and hospitality awareness
• Familiarity with restaurant reservation management systems and POS platforms such as Toast POS preferred
• Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively during high-volume periods
• Basic math skills for managing reservations, waitlists, and billing procedures
• Experience in food service or restaurant operations is advantageous but not mandatory
• Knowledge of phone etiquette and guest relations best practices essential for creating a welcoming atmosphere
