Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Host to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. The ideal candidate will excel in guest relations, communication, and providing exceptional customer service. This role is vital in ensuring guests have a positive first impression and an enjoyable experience from the moment they arrive. Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or restaurant environments is preferred. The Host will manage reservations, greet guests, and coordinate seating arrangements to optimize flow and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements to ensure efficient flow of the dining area
• Manage reservations and waitlists using OpenTable
• Communicate effectively with guests regarding wait times and menu offerings
• Maintain a clean and organized host station and waiting area
• Answer phone inquiries professionally, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette
• Collaborate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure guest needs are met promptly
• Handle guest concerns or special requests with professionalism and courtesy
• Assist in maintaining overall cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area

Experience

• Prior experience as a Host or Hostess in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
• Experience with food service operations and POS systems is advantageous
• Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and guest relations
• Knowledge of restaurant operations, hospitality standards, or hotel guest services is a plus
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
