Position: Host / Hostess

Job Responsibilities

* Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival.

* Manage the restaurant’s waiting list and seating arrangements.

* Escort guests to their tables and provide menus.

* Answer guest questions about the menu, restaurant policies, and wait times.

* Manage reservations and ensure accurate guest information.

* Communicate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to maintain smooth restaurant operations.

* Monitor table availability and coordinate seating efficiently.

* Keep the host stand, entrance, and waiting area clean and organized.

* Assist guests with special requests and provide excellent customer service.

* Handle guest concerns politely and notify management when necessary.

* Answer incoming phone calls and assist with takeout or reservation inquiries when needed.

* Follow all restaurant policies and maintain a professional appearance.

Qualifications

* Previous restaurant or customer service experience preferred.

* Friendly, outgoing, and professional personality.

* Strong communication and organizational skills.

* Ability to multitask in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

* Ability to work well with servers, kitchen staff, and management.

* Reliable, punctual, and responsible.

* Ability to remain calm and professional during busy periods.

* Bilingual skills are a plus.

Physical Requirements

* Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

* Ability to move around the restaurant safely and efficiently.

* Ability to work in a busy and fast-paced environment.

Work Environment

This position works in a fast-paced restaurant environment and requires frequent communication with guests and restaurant staff. The Host/Hostess is responsible for creating a welcoming first impression and helping ensure a smooth dining experience for every guest.

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
