Overview
At Verde Restaurant, our hosts set the tone for every guest experience. As the first and last point of contact, the Host is responsible for creating a warm, genuine welcome while ensuring seamless flow throughout service. We are looking for someone who is personable, organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about hospitality.

Our ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates confidently, and understands that exceptional hospitality begins at the front door.

Responsibilities

• Welcome every guest with warmth, professionalism, and genuine enthusiasm.
• Manage reservations using Yelp and accurately seat guests according to floor plans and reservation timing.
• Maintain an organized waitlist while communicating realistic wait times.
• Answer phones professionally and assist guests with reservations, directions, and general inquiries.
• Coordinate with managers, servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.
• Monitor table availability and maximize seating efficiency without compromising the guest experience.
• Escort guests to their tables and present menus when appropriate.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting host stand and entrance.
• Assist with private event arrivals and special accommodations.
• Thank guests sincerely as they leave and invite them to return.
• Support the service team with light side work when needed.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred.
• Friendly, outgoing personality with excellent communication skills.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure during busy services.
• Comfortable using reservation software and basic computer systems.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

Physical Requirements

• Stand and walk for long periods.

• Hourly wage based on experience.
