Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage waitlists with enthusiasm and professionalism
• Coordinate restaurant reservations using reservation management systems and ensure accurate seating arrangements
• Maintain a clean, organized host area and manage guest flow efficiently during busy hours
• Answer phone inquiries with courteous phone etiquette, providing information about wait times or reservations as needed
• Assist with restaurant table management systems such as Genius Heartland POS to optimize seating efficiency
• Support guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and courteously
• Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service flow and guest satisfaction
• Help buss tables and/or run food for servers

Skills

• Proven experience as a host or hostess in a restaurant or food service environment
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally
• Familiarity with restaurant reservation management and table management systems (e.g., Genius Heartland POS)
• Excellent communication skills, including phone communication and etiquette
• Basic math skills for handling reservations, seating calculations, and POS transactions
• Organizational skills to manage multiple tables, reservations, and guest requests efficiently
• Knowledge of food safety standards and hospitality best practices to ensure a safe dining environment

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
