Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. You will play a crucial role in guest relations, managing reservations, and maintaining the flow of the dining experience.

Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
• Manage reservations and maintain an organized seating chart.
• Communicate effectively with guests regarding wait times and special requests.
• Assist with guest services by answering questions about the menu and restaurant offerings.
• Handle phone calls with professionalism, ensuring proper phone etiquette.
• Collaborate with the restaurant staff to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
• Utilize the Toast POS system to manage reservations on OpenTable and guest check-ins.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host area.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a restaurant setting.
• Strong communication skills with an emphasis on guest relations.
• Familiarity with Toast POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
• Excellent phone etiquette and hospitality skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure.
• A positive attitude and willingness to help others are essential.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
