Overview
The host at Kandy's sets the stage for the entire evening. You will manage our reservation system, welcome guests with genuine hospitality and strategically coordinate seating.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a friendly smile and positive attitude, making them feel instantly welcomed
• Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize guest flow
• Answer phone inquiries with professionalism, providing accurate information and courteous assistance
• Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth seating and service operations
• Maintain a clean, organized host stand and waiting area to uphold high standards of hospitality
• Assist guests with special requests or accommodations to enhance their experience
• Use POS system to manage reservations and guest check-ins when necessary

Skills

• Proven experience as a host or hostess in food service or restaurant environments
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including phone etiquette
• Familiarity with POS systems preferred
• Knowledge of restaurant operations and guest relations best practices
• Ability to multitask
• Hospitality background or hotel experience is a plus, demonstrating adaptability across guest services roles
