Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival, establishing a friendly and inviting atmosphere
• Manage restaurant reservations using various table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to optimize seating arrangements
• Answer phone calls with excellent phone etiquette, assist with reservation inquiries, and handle waitlist management efficiently
• Coordinate seating assignments with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction
• Maintain organized guest lists, wait times, and reservation records with strong organizational skills
• Support food safety standards by adhering to proper hygiene and cleanliness protocols in the host area
• Communicate effectively with guests and team members to address special requests or concerns promptly and courteously

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a host or hostess in a restaurant setting is highly preferred
• Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities
• Familiarity with restaurant reservation management tools and POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Basic math skills to handle seating calculations, waitlist management, and billing procedures
• Experience in food service or hospitality environments is advantageous
• Ability to handle phone communication professionally, demonstrating proper phone etiquette
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tables, reservations, and guest needs simultaneously
• Knowledge of food safety standards and restaurant operations is a plus
