Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and personable Host to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests and ensure smooth restaurant operations. As the first point of contact, you will manage guest arrivals, coordinate seating arrangements, and facilitate a positive dining experience. Duties

• Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival, providing a friendly first impression.
• Manage restaurant reservation systems to confirm bookings and optimize seating flow.
• Coordinate seating arrangements efficiently using restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
• Answer incoming phone calls with excellent phone etiquette, handling reservation inquiries and guest questions clearly and courteously.
• Maintain organized waitlists, monitor table availability, and communicate wait times accurately to guests.
• Assist with guest services by addressing special requests, managing guest relations, and ensuring overall satisfaction.
• Support food safety standards by maintaining cleanliness in the host station and adhering to hygiene protocols.

Skills

• Proven experience as a host or hostess in a restaurant or food service environment.
• Strong knowledge of restaurant reservation management and table management systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly, professional phone manner.
• Demonstrated customer service skills with the ability to handle guest concerns tactfully and efficiently.
• Basic math skills for managing reservations, waitlists, and billing procedures when necessary.
• Organizational skills to manage multiple tables, reservations, and guest requests simultaneously.
• Familiarity with food safety standards and hospitality best practices to ensure a safe dining environment.
