Stubborn Mule Restaurant & Brewery – Landrum, SC

Stubborn Mule is looking for a friendly, dependable, and outgoing Hostess to be the welcoming face of our restaurant. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, stays organized in a busy environment, and can provide excellent customer service from the moment guests walk through the door.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet and welcome guests as they arrive
• Manage the waitlist and seating chart efficiently
• Answer phones and assist guests with reservations and questions
• Use Toast Tables to manage reservations and table assignments
• Accurately communicate wait times to guests
• Escort guests to their tables and provide menus
• Keep the entrance, hostess stand, and dining areas clean and organized
• Communicate with servers, bartenders, and management to maintain smooth table flow
• Monitor table availability and help ensure sections are seated fairly
• Assist servers with light dining-room duties when needed
• Provide friendly, professional service throughout the guest's visit
• Handle busy periods calmly and professionally

What We're Looking For

• Friendly, positive attitude and a welcoming personality
• Reliable and punctual
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills
• Able to multitask in a fast-paced restaurant
• Comfortable using a POS/reservation system
• Previous restaurant or hostess experience preferred, but not required
• Must be available to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
