Duties

• Greet guests promptly and warmly as they arrive, establishing a friendly and professional first impression
• Manage restaurant reservations efficiently using our table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table turnover and guest flow, ensuring smooth service
• Answer incoming phone calls with courteous phone etiquette, providing accurate wait times and reservation information
• Maintain organized waitlists and communicate wait times clearly to guests, demonstrating strong organizational skills
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and safety standards in the host station area following food safety guidelines
• Support guest relations by addressing inquiries, special requests, and feedback with positive communication skills

Requirements

• Prior experience as a host or hostess in a restaurant setting is preferred, along with food service experience
• Familiarity with restaurant reservation management and table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle guest interactions professionally and courteously
• Excellent communication skills, including phone communication and etiquette, to engage effectively with guests and team members
• Basic math skills for managing waitlists, billing inquiries, and POS transactions using systems like POS or Micros POS
• Organizational skills to manage reservations, seating arrangements, and guest flow efficiently
• Knowledge of food safety standards and hospitality best practices to ensure a safe environment for all guests and staff
