Hospitality begins before a guest ever reaches the table.

Amendment is a new dining experience coming to downtown Sturgis, built around live-fire cooking, thoughtful food and drink, craftsmanship, and genuine human connection.

Our historic space is designed to become both a gathering place for Sturgis and a dining destination for the region.

We are looking for Hosts who can set the tone for that experience from the moment someone walks through the door.

The Role

As a Host at Amendment, you will be one of the first and last people our guests interact with.

You’ll manage reservations and the flow of the dining room while providing a welcome that is confident, organized, warm, and genuine.

This position requires much more than standing at a host desk. A great host understands what is happening throughout the restaurant and helps orchestrate the dining room.

Responsibilities include:

• Greet every guest warmly and professionally
• Manage reservations, walk-ins, and waitlists
• Coordinate seating with servers and restaurant leadership
• Maintain accurate knowledge of table status and dining-room flow
• Answer phones and assist guests with reservation questions
• Communicate wait times accurately and thoughtfully
• Learn the restaurant, menu, and beverage program well enough to answer common guest questions
• Recognize celebrations, special requests, and other opportunities to personalize the experience
• Maintain an organized and welcoming entrance and host area
• Assist with coats, doors, seating, and other guest needs
• Communicate clearly with servers, bartenders, managers, and support staff
• Thank guests sincerely as they leave

Who We’re Looking For

Previous hosting or restaurant experience is helpful, but not required.

Schedule: Evening and weekend availability required
Location: Downtown Sturgis, Michigan

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
