Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival, establishing a friendly and professional atmosphere
• Manage restaurant reservations efficiently using POS systems such as OpenTable POS
• Coordinate seating arrangements and waitlist management to optimize table turnover and guest flow
• Answer phone inquiries promptly, providing accurate information about wait times and reservation details while maintaining excellent phone etiquette
• Assist guests with seating preferences and special requests to enhance their dining experience
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area, ensuring all materials are stocked and accessible
• Support food safety protocols by adhering to hygiene standards during guest interactions

Requirements

• Prior experience as a host/hostess or in food service is highly preferred, demonstrating strong guest relations skills
• Familiarity with restaurant reservation management systems such as OpenTable POS
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional phone manner
• Strong organizational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy hours
• Basic math skills for managing seating charts, waitlists, and billing procedures
• Knowledge of food safety standards and hospitality best practices
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Positive attitude with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service
