Job Summary
Fancy Burger is seeking a friendly and organized Host to welcome guests and help create a smooth dining experience from arrival through seating. The Host will manage guest flow, maintain the waiting area, and work closely with the restaurant team to keep service organized and welcoming.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide a professional first impression.
• Manage the waitlist and assist with reservations and seating.
• Escort guests to tables and provide menus when appropriate.
• Communicate estimated wait times clearly and accurately.
• Coordinate seating with servers and kitchen staff.
• Monitor dining-room table availability and guest flow.
• Keep the host stand and waiting area clean and organized.
• Assist guests with basic questions about the menu and restaurant.
• Support servers and other front-of-house staff during busy periods.
• Help with table resets and other light service duties when needed.
• Follow restaurant cleanliness, safety, and guest-service standards.

Qualifications

• Previous host, restaurant, hospitality, or customer-service experience is preferred.
• Friendly, professional, and comfortable interacting with guests.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to remain calm and organized during busy service periods.
• Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
• Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods.
• Able to work effectively as part of a restaurant team.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

About The Company
Fancy Burger is a Boise restaurant located on South Umatilla Avenue. The restaurant focuses on gourmet burgers and casual dining, with an upscale atmosphere and menu featuring burgers, salads, sides, desserts, and beverages.

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 per week
