About Bullvino's

Bullvino's Churrascaria is a white tablecloth Southern Brazilian steakhouse. Churrasco comes from the gauchos of southern Brazil, who cooked whole cuts of beef on iron skewers over an open fire. A churrascaria is a restaurant built on that. Guests start at the Brazilian Table, our gourmet salad bar. When they flip their medallion to green, our gauchos bring fire roasted meats to the table on the skewer and carve them tableside. Every table is looked after by a team of servers, gauchos and bussers working together.

The job

The host is the first person every guest sees. You greet guests at the door, walk them to their table, answer the phone, and run the reservation book and the wait list. You also keep the host stand, lobby and restrooms clean through the shift.

What you'll do

• Greet every guest within five seconds of walking in
• Walk guests to their table and seat in rotation so every section stays even
• Answer the phone and handle reservations, cancellations and questions
• Book and manage reservations in OpenTable
• Quote honest wait times on busy nights and keep waiting guests updated
• Check the restrooms at least every 30 minutes
• Open and close the host stand, menus, lobby and entrance
• Help reset tables near the host stand when the floor is busy
• Thank every guest on the way out

Training

We train you in house. You work three paid training shifts side by side with a certified trainer. You learn the floor plan, OpenTable and our phone scripts on the job.

What we need

• 16 or older
• Clear, friendly English, in person and on the phone
• Available evenings, weekends and holidays
• Able to stay on your feet for a full shift
• Reliable transportation
• Business casual dress with black pants and black shoes

• $15.00 per hour
