Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival, creating a positive first impression that reflects our welcoming atmosphere
• Manage restaurant reservations using advanced table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring efficient seating arrangements
• Coordinate with the dining team to optimize table turnover and minimize wait times while maintaining excellent guest relations
• Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism, providing accurate information about wait times, reservations, and restaurant policies
• Maintain organized waiting lists and seating charts to streamline guest flow during busy hours
• Assist guests with seating preferences and special requests, ensuring their needs are met with attentive service
• Support food safety standards by communicating effectively with kitchen staff regarding guest needs and timing

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a host or hostess in a fast-paced restaurant setting is highly preferred
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
• Familiarity with restaurant reservation management and table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and clear verbal interaction
• Basic math skills for handling reservations, waitlist management, and POS transactions
• Knowledge of food safety standards and hospitality best practices
• Organizational skills to manage multiple tables, guest requests, and reservation schedules efficiently
• Experience with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays in a lively restaurant environment
