Phoenix dining has its own rhythm. Lunch may bring business groups and convention visitors; dinner can quickly shift into celebrations, sports crowds, and people heading out for an evening in the Valley. We’re adding a Host/Hostess who can take charge of the door, read the room, and keep guests and the restaurant team on the same page.

You set the pace

• Welcome guests and confirm reservations, party size, and seating preferences.
• Manage the reservation system, waitlist, and walk-in traffic.
• Provide accurate wait times and keep waiting guests updated.
• Seat tables evenly across server sections.
• Coordinate with servers, bartenders, bussers, kitchen staff, and shift managers.
• Answer calls about hours, reservations, accessibility, and larger parties.
• Prepare menus and keep the entrance and host station guest-ready.
• Respond calmly when plans change or several groups arrive together.

The practical details

• Full-time schedules typically provide 32–40 hours per week.
• Part-time schedules generally provide 16–28 hours per week.
• Typical shifts include 10:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. or 4:00 p.m.–10:30 p.m.
• Later finishes may apply on busy weekends or major event nights.
• Paid training is provided on reservations, seating rotation, guest service, and restaurant procedures.
• Opportunities are available to learn additional front-of-house duties as your experience develops.

What matters at the host stand

Good judgment is more valuable than a scripted greeting. A successful Host/Hostess can speak confidently, keep track of several moving pieces, and make clear decisions without making guests feel rushed.

Restaurant or hospitality experience is welcome, but it is not essential. Training will be provided for someone who is comfortable working on their feet, communicating with different people, and contributing during busy service periods.
