Everything starts with masa and fire. Heirloom corn, nixtamalized and ground fresh each morning on an in-house molino. A kitchen that cooks over live wood fire, drawing on Mexico City, Oaxaca, and the Great Lakes. Now hiring the opening team in Cleveland.

Vecino Front Door Personnel must be friendly and outgoing with a focus on genuine hospitality. This position represents the face of our restaurants and is the first point of contact for our guests, whether in person or on the phone.

Responsibilities

· Daily cleaning duties as required by management

· Completion of all side work, before, during, and after the shift as required by management

· Welcoming all guests with a smile and a warm greeting

· Operation of a multi-line phone system

· Navigation of the Opentable system in order to manage walk-ins, and reservation business

· Recognizing regulars, VIP’s and special occasions upon guest’s arrival

· Efficiently managing the seating and preferences of guests

· Handling all gift cards transactions

· Assisting in maintaining dining areas and clearing tables, sweeping and cleaning floors, checking bathrooms for cleanliness and straightening up as needed

Requirements

· The ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment while maintaining a calm composure and a friendly demeanor

· Use of good communication skills with and showing respect to all guests, fellow employees, and management

· Demonstrate a base knowledge of all menu items offered in the restaurant

· Fluently and efficiently navigating the restaurant’s Opentable system

· Coming to work on time, and with a positive attitude every shift

· Following all policies and procedures as listed in the Employee Manual.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 – 40.0 per week
