Position Summary

The Hostess is the first and last impression of our restaurant. This position is responsible for warmly welcoming guests, managing the flow of the dining room, maintaining accurate seating information, and providing exceptional hospitality from the moment guests arrive until they leave.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet every guest promptly, warmly, and professionally.
• Manage the restaurant’s waitlist and seating rotation.
• Escort guests to their tables and provide menus.
• Answer phones and assist guests with questions, reservations, and general information.
• Maintain accurate knowledge of table availability and server sections.
• Communicate effectively with servers, managers, and other team members.
• Monitor the dining room and entrance area to ensure cleanliness and organization.
• Assist with keeping menus, host stand, and guest areas clean and presentable.
• Manage guest requests and communicate special needs to the appropriate team member.
• Maintain a positive and welcoming attitude, even during busy periods.
• Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return.
• Follow all restaurant policies, procedures, and service standards.
• Assist with additional side work and team responsibilities as assigned by management.

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to bend, reach, and move throughout the restaurant.
• Ability to carry menus and other light items.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment for extended periods.

Position Standards

The Hostess is expected to arrive on time, be prepared for each shift, maintain a professional appearance, follow the restaurant's policies, and consistently provide a welcoming experience for every guest.

Pay: $14.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 20.0 per week
