Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing friendly and professional customer service
• Manage restaurant reservations using reservation management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Organize seating arrangements to optimize table turnover and guest experience
• Answer phone inquiries with clear, courteous communication, handling reservation requests and guest questions
• Maintain organized waitlists and communicate wait times effectively to guests
• Support the front-of-house team by coordinating guest seating and ensuring smooth flow of service
• Uphold food safety standards and restaurant policies while managing guest interactions

Experience

• Prior experience as a host or hostess in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred
• Strong communication skills with excellent phone etiquette and customer service abilities
• Familiarity with restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
• Basic math skills for handling reservations, waitlist calculations, and POS transactions
• Demonstrated organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy setting
• Knowledge of food safety protocols and hospitality best practices
• Experience in guest relations and providing outstanding guest services in a fast-paced environment
