Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and personable Host to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests and ensure seamless restaurant operations. As the first point of contact, you will manage guest arrivals, reservations, and seating arrangements while providing exceptional customer service. Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage their seating preferences to optimize flow and guest satisfaction
• Handle restaurant reservation management using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Restaurant Manager, ensuring accurate booking and waitlist updates(WaitlistMe!)
• Maintain clear communication with kitchen staff and servers regarding guest needs and seating arrangements
• Answer phone inquiries professionally, providing information about wait times, reservations, and general restaurant details while practicing excellent phone etiquette
• Manage guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and courteously to enhance overall guest experience
• Organize and coordinate table assignments efficiently to maximize seating capacity and reduce wait times
• Uphold food safety standards and hygiene protocols in all interactions with guests and during table management

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a host or hostess in a restaurant setting is preferred, along with food service experience
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
• Excellent organizational skills to handle reservations, walk-ins, and guest flow smoothly
• Basic math skills for managing waitlists, reservations, and billing procedures
• Knowledge of restaurant reservation management practices and phone etiquette standards
• Commitment to hospitality excellence, guest services, and maintaining a welcoming environment
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting while demonstrating professionalism and attention to detail

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 35.0 per week
