Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Host to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. The ideal candidate will excel in guest relations, possess excellent communication skills, and have experience in food service or hospitality environments. This role is vital in ensuring guests have a positive first impression and enjoy a seamless dining or service experience. The Host will be responsible for managing reservations, greeting guests, and coordinating seating arrangements to optimize the flow of service.

Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage wait times efficiently
• Escort guests to their tables and provide menus
• Manage reservations and seating arrangements using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms
• Maintain a clean and organized host station and waiting area
• Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth operations
• Handle guest inquiries politely via phone or in person, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and guest relations skills
• Assist with guest seating adjustments during busy periods to maximize table turnover and customer satisfaction
• Support guest needs throughout their visit, ensuring a positive experience from arrival to departure

Experience

• Prior experience as a Host or Host in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred
• Food service experience including familiarity with restaurant operations and guest services is advantageous
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential
• Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
• Hotel or guest services background can be beneficial
• Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service and handle guest relations professionally
• Knowledge of serving protocols, hospitality standards, and phone etiquette is desirable
