Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and a positive dining experience. You will manage the flow of guests into the restaurant, coordinate seating arrangements, and assist with guest inquiries. Your ability to communicate effectively and provide exceptional customer service will be key to your success in this position.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests upon arrival with a friendly demeanor and ensure they feel welcomed.
• Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize table turnover.
• Maintain an organized waiting list during busy periods and communicate wait times accurately to guests.
• Assist servers by providing menus, answering questions about menu items, and taking drink orders when necessary.
• Handle guest inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff and servers to ensure smooth service flow.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host area.
• Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for managing orders and reservations.

Skills

• Previous Host/Host experience in a restaurant or hotel environment is preferred.
• Strong background in food service and customer service, demonstrating a commitment to guest satisfaction.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with guests and team members.
• Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha POS or Micros POS, is a plus.
• Experience in hospitality or guest services is beneficial.
• Strong phone etiquette for handling reservations and inquiries over the phone.
• Ability to manage guest relations effectively, ensuring a positive dining experience for all patrons.
