Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and personable Host to be the welcoming face of our restaurant, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for every guest. As the first point of contact, you will manage reservations, greet guests with enthusiasm, and ensure smooth seating arrangements. Your positive attitude and excellent communication skills will set the tone for an exceptional dining experience.

Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression
• Manage restaurant reservations efficiently.
• Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table turnover while maintaining guest satisfaction
• Answer incoming phone calls with courteous phone etiquette, taking reservations and addressing inquiries promptly.
• Take To-Go Orders, help pack the orders up, and take payment from the guest. Hosts eligible for tips from the To-Go orders.
• Maintain organized waitlists and communicate wait times clearly to guests
• Assist with guest services by providing menus, answering questions about the restaurant, and ensuring guest comfort
• Support food safety standards by handling guest interactions responsibly and maintaining cleanliness in the host station

Requirements

• Previous experience as a host or hostess in a restaurant setting preferred
• Strong customer service skills with a positive, energetic attitude
• Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and clear verbal interaction
• Basic math skills for managing reservations, waitlists, and guest counts accurately
• Organizational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy hours
• Knowledge of food safety practices and hospitality standards to ensure guest well-being and satisfaction
