We are seeking an energetic and welcoming Host to be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a positive and memorable experience from the moment they arrive. As a Host, you will manage restaurant reservations, greet guests with warmth and professionalism, and coordinate seating arrangements to ensure smooth flow and excellent guest relations. Your role is vital in setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience, demonstrating hospitality, organization, and outstanding communication skills. Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly with enthusiasm and genuine hospitality, ensuring they feel valued from arrival.
• Manage restaurant reservation systems efficiently, including Toast to optimize seating and wait times.
• Coordinate with the dining team to assign tables, monitor waitlists, and communicate estimated wait times clearly to guests via phone or in person.
• Answer incoming phone calls professionally, providing information about wait times, reservations, and general inquiries while maintaining excellent phone etiquette.
• Maintain organized reservation logs and seating charts to ensure smooth operations during busy hours.
• Assist with guest services by addressing special requests or concerns promptly, fostering positive guest relations throughout their visit.
• Support food safety standards by adhering to proper hygiene practices while handling guest interactions and managing restaurant flow.

Skills

• Proven experience as a Host or hostess in a restaurant or food service setting with strong customer service skills.
• Familiarity with restaurant reservation management systems such as Toast and OpenTable.
• Excellent communication skills, including clear verbal interaction over phone and face-to-face conversations.
• Strong organizational skills to manage reservations, seating arrangements, and guest flow efficiently.
• Basic math skills for handling waitlist calculations and table management tasks accurately.
• Knowledge of food safety protocols relevant to hospitality environments.
• Ability to operate POS systems confidently for check-ins or reservations processing.
• Hospitality-focused attitude with a passion for guest relations and creating welcoming atmospheres.
