Sorellina is seeking an energetic and welcoming Host to be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a memorable and positive experience from the moment they arrive. As a Host, you will manage restaurant reservations, coordinate seating arrangements, and ensure smooth guest flow throughout the dining area. Your friendly demeanor and excellent communication skills will set the tone for a warm, hospitable environment that encourages guest satisfaction and repeat visits. Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression
• Manage restaurant reservations
• schedule and confirm bookings accurately
• Coordinate seating arrangements efficiently to optimize table turnover while maintaining guest comfort
• Answer incoming phone calls with proper phone etiquette, handle inquiries, and assist with reservation requests
• Maintain organized waitlists and communicate wait times clearly to guests
• Support food safety standards by ensuring cleanliness and adherence to health regulations in the host station
• Collaborate with servers to ensure seamless guest flow and timely service delivery
• The host will also clear and reset tables when there is no busser, you will be tipped out in addition to your hourly wage.
• Must be available Friday and Saturday

Requirements

• Prior experience as a host or hostess in a restaurant or food service environment preferred
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally
• Familiarity with Open Table is a plus
• Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and clear verbal interaction
• Basic math skills for handling reservations and waitlist
• Organizational skills to manage reservations, waitlists, and guest flow effectively
• Knowledge of food safety standards and hospitality practices
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
