Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and welcoming Host to be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a positive and memorable experience from the moment they arrive. As a Host, you will manage reservations, coordinate seating arrangements, and ensure smooth flow of service in a lively, fast-paced environment. Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage waitlists with efficiency using restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
• Handle reservation management, ensuring accurate booking and timely updates for all guest parties.
• Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table utilization and minimize wait times, maintaining clear communication with servers and kitchen staff.
• Answer phone inquiries promptly, practicing professional phone etiquette while providing information about wait times or reservation details.
• Maintain organized front-of-house operations by monitoring guest flow, managing waiting lists, and updating reservation schedules as needed.
• Assist with guest services by addressing questions or concerns courteously and ensuring guests feel valued throughout their visit.
• Support food safety standards by adhering to hygiene protocols when handling menus or assisting with guest needs.

Experience

• Previous experience as a host or hostess in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in person and over the phone.
• Familiarity with restaurant reservation management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous.
• Basic math skills for managing reservations, seating calculations, and cash handling if needed.
• Experience in food service or hospitality roles that emphasize guest relations and organizational skills will help ensure success in this position.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and restaurant operations is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
