Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide a positive first impression of the restaurant
• Manage restaurant reservations using reservation management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Coordinate seating arrangements efficiently to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction
• Answer incoming phone calls with professional phone etiquette, assist with reservation inquiries, and confirm bookings
• Maintain organized waitlists and communicate wait times clearly to guests
• Support food service staff by managing guest flow and ensuring timely seating
• Uphold food safety standards and restaurant policies while providing excellent guest relations

Skills

• Proven experience as a host or hostess in a restaurant or food service environment
• Strong knowledge of restaurant reservation management systems (Aloha POS, Micros POS) and POS systems in general
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on friendly phone communication and guest interactions
• Demonstrated organizational skills to handle multiple reservations and seating plans effectively
• Basic math skills for managing waitlists, table counts, and billing procedures when necessary
• Experience with restaurant table management systems and hospitality software tools
• Knowledge of food safety standards and guest service best practices in a fast-paced setting
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and positive under pressure while delivering exceptional customer service

Pay: $22.73 - $27.38 per hour
