Duties

• Manage restaurant reservation systems to schedule and confirm bookings accurately using platforms such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
• Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing excellent customer service and guiding them to their tables promptly.
• Coordinate seating arrangements, monitor wait times, and communicate effectively with the dining team to optimize table turnover.
• Answer phone inquiries professionally, handling reservation requests, questions about menu options, and special accommodations with clear communication and courtesy.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area, ensuring all reservation information is up-to-date and accessible.
• Support guest relations by addressing concerns politely, offering assistance, and ensuring a positive first impression at all times.
• Assist with food safety protocols by following proper hygiene practices when handling reservations or guest interactions.

Skills

• Proven experience as a Host or Hostess in a restaurant or food service environment.
• Strong knowledge of restaurant reservation management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
• Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—and phone etiquette to engage guests professionally.
• Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that enhances guest experiences.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.
• Basic math skills for handling reservations, seating counts, and managing waitlists accurately.
• Familiarity with restaurant table management systems and POS systems to support smooth operations.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and hospitality best practices to ensure guest well-being.
• Organizational skills necessary for coordinating seating arrangements and managing guest flow seamlessly.
