Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a positive first impression that reflects our commitment to hospitality.
• Manage restaurant reservations efficiently using Opentable.
• Coordinate with the service team to assign tables and monitor wait times, maintaining smooth operations during busy periods.
• Answer phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette, taking reservations and providing accurate information about wait times or special events.
• Maintain organized waiting lists and communicate effectively with guests regarding their seating status.
• Support guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and courteously, enhancing overall guest satisfaction.
• Assist in food safety practices by ensuring cleanliness of the host station and adhering to health regulations.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a host or hostess in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to handle phone calls professionally and courteously.
• Familiarity with restaurant reservation management and table management systems such as Opentable is highly desirable.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tables, reservations, and guest needs simultaneously.
• Basic math skills for handling seating counts and managing waitlist calculations accurately.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and restaurant operations is a plus.
• Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that fosters guest loyalty.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and professionalism.
