Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage reservation bookings using restaurant table management systems such as Focus & Shift4.
• Escort guests to their tables promptly, ensuring a welcoming and organized seating process.
• Handle phone inquiries with professionalism, providing accurate information about wait times, reservations, and general restaurant details while practicing proper phone etiquette.
• Assist servers by maintaining cleanliness of dining areas, resetting tables efficiently, and supporting food delivery when needed.
• Manage guest relations by addressing questions or concerns courteously and ensuring a positive dining experience.
• Support food safety standards by following proper sanitation procedures and handling guest orders accurately using POS systems.
• Maintain organizational skills to keep the host stand tidy and well-stocked with menus, reservation logs, and other necessary materials.

Skills

• Proven experience as a host or hostess in a restaurant setting with strong customer service skills.
• Familiarity with restaurant reservation management software and restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
• Excellent communication skills, including phone communication and etiquette, to interact effectively with guests and team members.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills for processing transactions and managing seating arrangements accurately.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and hospitality standards to ensure guest well-being and satisfaction.
• Experience with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is preferred to streamline order processing and billing.
• Strong organizational skills to coordinate seating plans, manage waitlists, and support team operations seamlessly.

Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
