Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage wait lists efficiently using restaurant table management OPEN TABLE
• Handle restaurant reservation management with accuracy and professionalism, ensuring all bookings are properly recorded and confirmed.
• Assist other hosts and hostesses in seating guests promptly while maintaining a smooth flow of table turnover.
• Support servers by delivering beverages, refilling drinks, bussing tables, setting tables and maintaining cleanliness at tables to enhance guest experience.
• Manage phone communication with courteous phone etiquette, answering inquiries about reservations, wait times, and general restaurant information.
• Uphold food safety standards by adhering to proper handling procedures and maintaining a clean dining environment.
• Use organizational skills to coordinate guest seating, manage wait times, and ensure efficient restaurant operations throughout each shift.

Requirements

• Prior experience as a host or hostess in a restaurant setting is required; food service experience is a plus.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with guests and team members.
• Familiarity with restaurant reservation management systems such as Aloha and Open table are a must
• Basic math skills for handling reservations, guest counts, and billing support when needed.
• Knowledge of POS systems for t go order entry and payment processing is beneficial.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tables and reservations simultaneously.
• Commitment to guest relations excellence through attentive service and positive attitude.
• Understanding of food safety protocols and hygiene standards within a hospitality environment.

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 30.0 per week
