Job Summary

Komodo Miami is seeking a friendly, professional, and welcoming Host / Hostess to join the restaurant team. The ideal candidate will greet guests, manage the front entrance, assist with seating and reservations, communicate with servers and management, and help create a smooth and positive dining experience from arrival to departure.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and greet guests warmly upon arrival
• Manage the host stand and maintain an organized front-of-house area
• Assist with seating guests according to restaurant procedures and table availability
• Manage reservations, waitlists, and guest seating requests accurately
• Provide guests with estimated wait times and updates when needed
• Answer questions about the restaurant, menu, reservations, and dining options
• Coordinate with servers, managers, and other team members to maintain efficient service
• Monitor table availability and help maintain smooth dining-room flow
• Escort guests to tables and provide menus when appropriate
• Handle guest requests and concerns in a friendly and professional manner
• Answer phone calls and assist with reservation inquiries
• Maintain accurate reservation and waitlist information
• Keep the host stand, entrance, and surrounding areas clean and organized
• Assist with opening, closing, and other front-of-house duties
• Support the restaurant team during busy service periods
• Perform additional duties assigned by management

Requirements

• Previous host/hostess, restaurant, hospitality, or guest-service experience preferred but not required
• Friendly, professional, and guest-focused attitude
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain organized in a busy restaurant environment
• Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail
• Professional appearance and positive attitude
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36.0 per week
