JOB SUMMARY

The Host / Hostperson creates a gracious first and last impression at the dining outlets of the property, welcoming guests, managing seating, and setting the tone for an exceptional experience. This role greets and seats guests, manages reservations and waitlists, and coordinates flow with the service team. The Host / Hostperson contributes directly to guest satisfaction and efficient outlet operation. Working closely with servers and management, this position keeps the dining room welcoming and organized.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Required Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members. Language requirements are confirmed by property at the time of posting.

• Warm, professional demeanor and strong guest service skills.

• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, based on occupancy.

• Physical ability to perform the essential functions of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous host or guest service experience.

• Bilingual ability appropriate to the property's guests.

• Experience with reservation systems.

FUNDAMENTAL REQUIREMENTS

• Warmly welcome and seat guests, and thank them upon departure.

• Manage reservations, waitlists, and seating flow for balanced service.

• Communicate seating and special requests to servers and management.

• Answer phones and respond to inquiries about the outlet.

• Maintain accurate reservation and guest preference records.

• Present menus and provide accurate information about the outlet.

• Manage the entrance and host area appearance and cleanliness.

• Assist with guest recovery and escalate as needed.

• Support the doorperson and greeter role for nightlife venues as assigned.

• Coordinate with the team during peak periods.

• Perform other duties as requested by management.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Stand and walk for the majority of a shift at the host stand and dining room.

• Occasionally lift and carry up to 20 pounds, including menus and supplies.

• Frequently move throughout the dining area.

• Work in indoor and outdoor dining areas with exposure to heat and sun consistent with the property's climate.
