Job Summary

KamiKoi Sushi Fusion is seeking a friendly, welcoming, and organized Host / Hostess to join the restaurant team. The ideal candidate will greet guests, manage seating and waitlists, assist with reservations, answer questions, and help maintain a smooth and welcoming front-of-house experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and greet guests promptly with a friendly and professional attitude
• Manage guest seating, table assignments, and waitlists efficiently
• Assist with reservations and maintain accurate reservation information
• Answer incoming phone calls and respond to general guest questions
• Provide accurate information about menu items, dining options, and restaurant procedures
• Escort guests to tables and provide menus when appropriate
• Communicate guest needs and special requests to servers and management
• Coordinate with servers, kitchen staff, and management during busy service periods
• Monitor dining room flow and help maintain efficient table turnover
• Keep the host stand, entrance, waiting area, and surrounding areas clean and organized
• Assist with takeout orders and other front-of-house duties when needed
• Respond to guest requests and concerns in a polite and professional manner
• Follow restaurant service, safety, sanitation, and workplace procedures
• Assist with opening, closing, and other daily front-of-house duties
• Perform additional responsibilities assigned by restaurant management

Requirements

• Previous host/hostess, restaurant, hospitality, or guest-service experience is preferred but not required
• Friendly, professional, and welcoming attitude
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain organized in a busy restaurant environment
• Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Professional appearance and positive attitude
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36.0 per week
