Host/ Hostess Restaurant

About the role

We are seeking a welcoming and professional Host/Hostess to join our team at Ginger Moon Group in the vibrant area of Seminyak, Bali. As Host/Hostess, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for their dining experience and ensuring their visit is memorable from the moment they arrive. This is a full-time position that requires excellent communication skills, a warm personality, and a genuine passion for hospitality. You will work on-site at our restaurant location in Seminyak, playing a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining the high standards our establishment is known for.

Key responsibilities

• Greeting all guests upon arrival with a warm, genuine welcome and ensuring they feel valued and appreciated
• Managing the restaurant's seating arrangements and table allocations to optimise dining flow and guest satisfaction
• Maintaining an accurate reservation system and coordinating with the kitchen and service team to ensure smooth operations
• Providing guests with accurate information about menu items, specials, and restaurant policies
• Handling guest enquiries and complaints with professionalism and a solutions-focused approach
• Assisting with general administrative duties including answering phone calls and managing reservations
• Maintaining a clean, organized and welcoming host station throughout service

What we're looking for

• Proven experience working as a Host, Hostess or in a similar front-of-house hospitality role
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
• Outstanding organizational abilities and attention to detail, particularly in managing multiple reservations and seating arrangements
• A genuine passion for hospitality and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service
• Ability to remain calm, composed and professional in busy or challenging situations
• Fluency in English; additional languages are highly desirable
• Flexibility with working hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required
• A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to go the extra mile for guest satisfaction
