Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage reservation bookings using restaurant table management systems TOAST
• Escort guests to their tables, ensuring a smooth and welcoming seating process
• Assist servers by delivering food and beverages efficiently, maintaining cleanliness and organization at the service stations
• Manage phone communications with professionalism, including taking reservations, answering inquiries, and providing accurate information about the restaurant
• Support the host team in maintaining accurate waitlists and managing guest flow during busy periods
• Uphold food safety standards by following proper handling procedures and sanitation practices
• Use POS systems to assist with order entry and billing processes when needed

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a host/hostess or in food service is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for hospitality is key!
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with guests and team members
• Familiarity with restaurant reservation management and table management systems TOAST
• Basic math skills for handling guest checks, bills, and cash transactions accurately
• Clear tables, fill waters, check restrooms
• Excellent organizational skills to manage reservations, waitlists, and guest flow efficiently
• Knowledge of food safety procedures and proper hygiene standards in a restaurant setting
• Ability to handle phone communication professionally, demonstrating good phone etiquette at all times
• Customer service experience that highlights guest relations skills and a friendly attitude

Pay: $18.00 per hour
