Bristol Republic is looking for an outgoing, organized, hospitality-minded Host Supervisor to lead our host team and help deliver an exceptional guest experience from arrival to departure.

With Southern-inspired barbecue, bourbon, and live music, Bristol Republic brings energy to Bridge Park. We need someone who can match that energy while keeping the front door welcoming, organized, and running smoothly.

This is a hands-on leadership role for an experienced host ready for greater responsibility or a hospitality professional who enjoys taking care of guests and developing a team.

What You’ll Do

• Lead by example at the front door: Welcome guests promptly, create a positive first impression, and thank them as they leave.
• Guide the host team: Assign shift responsibilities, train new hosts, coach service standards, and hold teammates accountable with professionalism and respect.
• Manage reservations and the waitlist: Keep information accurate, communicate realistic wait times, and keep waiting guests informed.
• Run a smart seating plan: Balance reservations and walk-ins, maintain fair server rotation, and pace seating to support strong service.
• Stay connected to the floor: Communicate with managers, servers, bussers, and the kitchen about table readiness, large parties, special requests, and guest flow.
• Take ownership of guest concerns: Listen, respond calmly, and involve a manager when additional support is needed.
• Prepare for each shift: Review reservations, anticipated volume, events, and seating needs with the manager on duty.
• Maintain high standards: Keep the entrance, host stand, menus, and waiting areas clean, organized, and guest-ready.
• Know the business: Confidently answer questions about the menu, hours, live music, and restaurant offerings.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous hosting or front-of-house restaurant experience; lead host, trainer, or supervisory experience preferred.
• A warm personality, positive attitude, and genuine interest in taking care of people.
• Strong organization, communication, and decision-making skills.
• The ability to stay composed, friendly, and effective during busy shifts.
• Confidence giving direction, coaching teammates, and following through.
• Experience with reservation and seating systems, or the ability to learn quickly.
• Dependability, punctuality, professional presentation, and attention to detail.
• Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Guests feel acknowledged and welcomed. Wait times are communicated honestly. Seating is organized and coordinated with the service team. Hosts know their responsibilities, support one another, and consistently meet our standards.
