Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly with genuine enthusiasm, creating a welcoming atmosphere from the first interaction
• Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize table turnover and guest satisfaction
• Assist servers by clearing tables, resetting dining areas, and delivering prompt support during busy periods
• Maintain a clean and organized host station, ensuring all areas are inviting and well-stocked
• Use POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process reservations or takeout orders when necessary
• Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate seating and service flow seamlessly
• Uphold high standards of phone etiquette when handling reservations or guest inquiries over the phone

Requirements

• Prior experience as a host/hostess or in food service is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a positive attitude are essential
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
• Excellent communication skills to interact clearly with guests and team members
• Familiarity with restaurant operations, including POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS, is a plus
• Previous hotel or guest services experience is advantageous but not mandatory
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Knowledge of hospitality standards, including phone etiquette and guest relations, to ensure exceptional service
