Responsibilities

• Warmly greet guests upon arrival and manage wait lists with efficiency and friendliness
• Handle restaurant reservation management using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to optimize seating flow
• Assist with restaurant table management systems to ensure timely seating and turnover
• Clear and reset tables promptly, maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards throughout service
• Support servers by delivering food and beverages, ensuring smooth communication between front-of-house and kitchen staff
• Maintain excellent phone etiquette when answering reservation inquiries or guest questions via phone communication
• Uphold guest relations by providing attentive, courteous service that enhances overall guest experience

Experience

• Previous host/hostess experience in a busy restaurant setting preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a positive attitude are essential
• Food service experience that demonstrates familiarity with restaurant operations and guest interactions
• Strong organizational skills to manage reservations, seating arrangements, and table turnover efficiently
• Basic math skills for handling reservations, bills, and POS transactions accurately
• Knowledge of restaurant reservation management systems and POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
• Excellent communication skills coupled with professional phone etiquette to engage with guests confidently
• Understanding of food safety standards and hospitality principles to ensure a safe, welcoming environment
